fundamental movement practice. Six methods for
self-healing and helping others heal are taught, along with the theory
that is the underpinning of the practices.
COMING IN MARCH 2014: The
next Level 1 seminar will be held March 16, 23, 30 and April 6 in San
Rafael. REGISTER NOW!
Who should attend?
Anyone interested in spiritual awareness or in self-healing and those engaged in alternative/complementary healing practices, as a client or as a practitioner, are likely to find plenty of value in the Level I seminar. The Level I seminar is appropriate for those who already have practiced Taiji (Tai Chi) or Qigong as well as those who are new to energetic movement practices.
Benefits of Wuji Gong
Practicing the Wuji Gong form (a “form” is a specific series of movements designed to move Qi) brings the healing power of the universal Qi to where your body needs it most. The effects are far-reaching. It can improve physical health -- one student with lymphoma reported that his blood levels stabilized when he started practicing once a week and improved markedly when he began practicing three to four times a week. It can improve emotional balance. It awakens your ability to perceive the world without engaging in habitual reactions; profound shifts in attitude and outlooks follow, as the true nature of the universe becomes clear. The mind, the body, and the spirit are not simply connected, they are like facets on a diamond, different sparkling expressions of the same elemental material.
What to expect
About half the class time is spent learning and practicing a variety of healing methods, which will include movement, chanting and other activity; we practice Wuji Gong every day and do at least two practice sessions of all other techniques. The other half of the time, there will be talks on how to sustain happiness, the five causes of illness, an explanation of karma, the meaning of the yin-yang taiji symbol, and more. Dress in comfortable street clothes. We will take breaks throughout the day. You can bring your lunch or eat at one of the many nearby restaurants.
